BolognaBologna Process - Conference of Ministers Responsible for Higher Education London 2007

Welcome

Welcome to the website for the London 2007 conference of Ministers responsible for Higher Education in the European Higher Education Area. This website provides information about the event and registration facilities for delegates.

Hosted by the UK, the 5th Bologna conference of Ministers responsible for Higher Education will take place in central London at the Queen Elizabeth II Centre from 16-18 May 2007. The conference will contribute directly to the process of reform in the European Higher Education Area. This event forms part of an ongoing strategy to promote closer collaboration between higher education institutions and increase mobility for students, researchers and staff across Bologna countries.

The conference will provide a timely opportunity to consider the Bologna Process in a global context and set clear priorities for the future. The specific objectives for the event are:

  • reviewing progress since the last Ministerial conference took place in Bergen, Norway in May 2005
  • ensuring the momentum is kept going
  • assessing how much more needs to be done in order to achieve the objective of creating the EHEA by 2010
  • initiating discussion on what the EHEA might look like post 2010
  • agreeing the London Communiqué and priorities for the period 2007-2009.
